Child marriage is one of the most alarming issues that the society is facing right now. Mostly, the victim of this practice are girls. This occurs because of poverty, largely accepted tradition, and survival, which hinders the victim’s future. According to World Vision (n.d.), from 2008 to 2009, approximately 25% of women are married as children. Although, there are implemented laws, there are still countries, especially in Southeast Asia who practices this tradition.

Consequently, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals No.5, the Idiyanale Empowerment Movement aims to promote and protect the rights of the aspiring young girls by spreading educational awareness with the use of social media platforms to encourage every one to join the call and raising one’s voice to urge not just the people within a particular community, but globally, particularly to countries who still resort to this kind of practices, in order to give young girls the freedom that they deserve, especially in pursuing their dreams. The Dream Big, Live Big solution pursues to give hope to young girls whose dreams and desires are impeded due to unfair practices.
